“No artist tolerates reality.” ~Nietzsche

Interesting quote, I don't entirely agree, but I like where it is coming from. Everyone, besides the insane, has to tolerate reality for the most part, its called being conscious... Reality is full of amazing things anyway. I think however, that artists and other creative types tap into the unrealistic more often. In fact, usually in an attempt to make it a reality...

Anyway, it was the first quote I came across that I liked and was as long as I needed. =P

The drawing I did for the pattern - [link]

Enjoy! :meditate:

Daily Deviation

Ready to stir up controversy, Reality by ~Jay-Cougar shows both simplicity and wilderness. Just like the quote it displays, the look creates a similar contrast making this a wonderful work. ( Featured by ^pica-ae )

Reality is great - but it holds nothing that cannot be made better with imagination ;)

Hello!

I just wanted to let you know that this piece has been featured (of course with proper credits) in the March/April issue of the free deviantART-related webzine DELVE!

You can find this issue here: [link]

The team at DELVE would be very thrilled and grateful if you'd be inclined to have a look at our zine and tell us what you think. We are a small and fairly new team still optimizing work flow, concept and realization of DELVE, and would greatly appreciate constructive feedback of any kind, be it positive or negative to be able improving our work further.

Thank you for showing your work in your deviantART gallery to the world, giving us insight to your perception and creation of art!

Hi there,
Thanks so much for the feature. I really appreciate it. :)
Over all the webzine is very clean and pretty easy to follow. Nice work. I don't really have much feedback but I'll tell you the small things I noticed.

Firstly, I found the line length to be a little long on the columns of text. Its not a huge issue and currently it is large enough to read, but making the text a little larger would help make the line length a little shorter and make it easier to read quickly.
Also, while the cleanliness of the layout is great for readability and navigation, it is also a little cold. Maybe try adding in some additional colours or backing shapes/images to some of the headings? Or think about adding a faint texture to the background of each page? Just small things to give the layout some personality.

All that said I think you're doing a great job. So keep it up! :D

Thanks again.

Hi *James-McKenzie!

Thank you very, very much for the awesome feedback regarding DELVE! Since I am currently re-building the team from scratch, I wanted to get the team together at first and figure out the best ways of communication and work flow. Layout issues are next, and exactly your suggestions are what I have in mind for the future of DELVE. No idea how it will go, but we will work on it for sure. Stay tuned! :D
